Ahead of the game against Kitchee FC, an agreement has been reached between both clubs and the Hong Kong FA to cancel the open training session due to the state of the pitch. The pitch has suffered torrential rain over the past few days and the safety of the players is a big concern.
The turf has also been used to host a pre-season tournament, meaning a lot of games were played in a short space of time, further damaging the condition.
This surely has to put the game itself in doubt, and if it were to be called off, it wouldn’t go down to well with supporters.
