United duo ruled out of Fulham game through injury

Manchester United received mixed injury news ahead of another must win home game; This time former coach Rene Meulensteen brings his Fulham side to town. Both Jonny Evans and Marouane Fellaini will miss the game due to a calf problem and groin concern respectively. Whereas Phil Jones is fit to play after concussion.

With Jonny Evans injured, it comes as a timely boost that Nemanja Vidic has faced his three-game ban and is available for selection once again. However I’d go with Phil Jones and Chris Smalling at the back, and let them begin to form the future partnership that could be a mainstay in the line-up for the next ten years.

Marouane Fellaini has been out of action since before the New Year due to having surgery on a fractured wrist. The big Belgian returned to training last week, and was expected to be fit for the weekend. However he suffered a groin problem that is expected to keep him sidelined for another week.
