Manchester United are eyeing yet another Southampton youth product if you believe reports written by The Mirror. After only making five first-team appearances, Harrison Reed is a target for Moyes’ men, and in the hope of rebuilding an ageing midfield the 19-year old would be a good start.
The Saints red-head has made just one start for his current side, and that came in the loss to Sunderland in the Capital One Cup back in December.
Its amazing how many youth products Southampton are bringing through at the moment. You look at Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, Theo Walcott and Gareth Bale who have all moved away from St Mary’s. Plus the likes of Adam Lallana, Luke Shaw and James Ward-Prowse who are still at the club and having the season of their lives.
I’ve never watched Harrison Reed play, but judging by previous talents that have gone before him at the club, you’d have to imagine that he’s a bright prospect.
