United fans unimpressed with Solskjaer’s first pre-season press conference: Twitter reacts

Manchester United’s pre-season tour is now well underway, with the players gearing up for their first game against the Perth Glory this coming Saturday.

Before that, though, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer addressed the media for the first time of the tour, and it’s fair to say the boss was looking well.

Amongst the topic of discussion was Paul Pogba’s future, David de Gea potentially signing a new deal and more minutes to be handed to Mason Greenwood.

However, an apparent U-turn from the Baby Faced Assassin has left the fans feeling rather downbeat…

Towards the end of the season, Solskjaer admitted that some players within the squad had played their last game for United. Well, what he said today was rather different as you can see from the video below…

As you can imagine, the replies weren’t very positive…

I love Solskjaer and it does feel as though he has backtracked pretty significantly. Whether that’s the board telling him to say those things, or simply put, United just cannot move these players on due to their expensive contracts, remains to be seen…

We covered a story from Duncan Castles in the Daily Record and he claimed that United were holding out for £25million to let Marcos Rojo leaves. Ed Woodward is in dreamland if he thinks we’ll get anything close to that for the injury-prone Argentine.

Solskjaer still has the fans’ backing, make no mistake about it, but the supporters are (rightly) hungry for blood. We’re yet to see a major outgoing transfer of any significance, which is exactly what we were promised.
