After Oldham’s enthralling 3-2 victory over Liverpool, the draw for the fifth round of the FA Cup was made, with United getting a home draw against fellow Premier League side Reading. The Royals emphatically overcame Sheffield United 4-0 to book their spot in the round, whereas we beat Fulham 4-1 at Old Trafford yesterday evening.
The last time these two sides met the game was an entertaining one, with United coming from behind to win the game 4-3 back in December.
On paper the fifth round isn’t all too exciting, with our game being the sole all Premier League tie, making it seven games in a row where we’ve come up against a fellow top flight side. But United get all the easy teams, eh?
The draw in full:
Huddersfield/Leicester v Wigan
MK Dons v Barnsley
Oldham v Everton
Luton v Millwall
Arsenal v Blackburn
Manchester City v Leeds
Manchester United v Reading
Middlesbrough v Brentford/Chelsea
The games will be played over the weekend of 16-17 February.
