United make their first signing under Moyes

Manchester United have made their first signing under new boss David Moyes; However it isn’t who you’d expect, promising 15-year old defender Jimmy Dunne has secured his dream move to the club, according to the Irish Independent. Dunne attracted interest from the likes of Chelsea and Aston Villa.

Some may say Guillermo Varela as Moyes’ first signing as United boss, but that deal was almost done before the 50-year old Scot took charge.

United have always been favourites for his signature, having drafted the youngster into their Belfast based academy when he was just 10 years of age.

Dunne will pen a 4-year contract when he turns 16, but he will move to Manchester imminently to get used to life in a new school.
