United set to miss out on Vidal as Real prepare to swoop

Real Madrid look to have beaten Manchester United and others to the signing of Arturo Vidal, claim the Express. The Chilean midfielder is regarded as the best player in his position in world football, alongside the likes of Manchester City’s Yaya Toure.

Vidal, 27, spent four years in Germany with Bayer Leverkusen before making the move to Juventus in 2011, and his reputation in world football has grown and grown year upon year. The energy and tenacity he plays with is second to none, and although he would cost a pretty penny, theres no midfielder that’d suit Manchester United better than Arturo Vidal.

The dream to bring Vidal in looks exactly that – just a dream. Real Madrid have reportedly offered Alvaro Morata as part of the deal to bring Vidal to Spain, and Juve are looking at the possibility of inserting a buyback clause in Vidal’s contract if things don’t quite work out for him.

I’d love Vidal at United. Not only does he work hard, tackle with force and pass the ball out calmly, he also scores goals. He’s the perfect midfielder.

  1. We are linked with every decent player however, all without any foundation! We apparently lodged a 27 million pound offer for Luke Shaw on the day after the league finished … But nothing has been completed ! I think the Loss of Gill is bigger than that of Sir Alex….. I think Woodward is out of his depth !

  2. No doubt Toure and Vidal are the best 2 midfielders in the world at the moment. Vidal, in my opinion, would definitely be a hit. He’s the best player I can see us signing. The question, though, would be: is Vidal going to settle for domestic honors next season and wait for his time in Europe? He tackles, runs, creates and scores. I have my doubts about his injuries, but I’d love to see him pull the red shirt!

  3. Woodward is doing nothing for sure,he can’t even complete the deal to sign Shaw where he has no competition for,i have a serious reservation about his transfer policies,i hope man united wil not end up with a flop like that of last season.Besides, this guys are making united to lose its essence.

  4. If this is true, it seems that the Bayern Munich tactic is that of the Real Madrid tactic which is buy every good players even though they already have players in that position already that can do a good job there , but buy them anyway so it cripples every other team and no one else can have them.
