Manchester United may join the hunt for Spurs ace Gareth Bale, according to The Independent. Spurs have become tired and frustrated with negotiations with the Spanish side, opening the door for United to swoop in and get the Welsh Wizard’s signature.
No firm offer has been made for the 24-year old yet, and due to his hefty price tag I’d struggle to see how we’d be able to afford Bale. The article suggests that Javier Hernandez could be used as part of the deal, bringing the cash sum United would need to fork out down ever so slightly.
Once again I cannot see this deal happening. Real Madrid will be front-runners for his signature, but if nobody coughs up the reported £110m valuation then Bale could be set for another year at Spurs.
