Manchester United Football Club suffered a huge blow last night, as Luke Shaw suffered an awful double fracture of his right leg during the club’s 2-1 loss away at PSV Eindhoven.
As you’d expect, Van Gaal was asked about the injury and he looked physically shook up by the news. “It is awful. The boy is in his second season and he has been playing fantastic. And now this happens.”
“Shaw had the oxygen mask on and was crying in the dressing room. You must judge for yourself. as a very bad tackle.” Van Gaal said.
It really is heartbreaking news for the young man. His season is almost certainly over as well as his European Championships for England.
I just hope that this injury doesn’t half the progression of his promising career. He definitely has the potential to be one of United’s best ever left-backs and hopefully he can come back stronger than ever.
