Manchester United host Mark Hughes’ Stoke City side tomorrow, in what is certain to be a chilly night under the floodlights at Old Trafford. The Potters are renowned for keeping games close, so United will no doubt have to be at their best if they want to keep this good run of form continuing into the Christmas period.
Louis van Gaal has been speaking to the press as per usual, and he may have just dropped a hint about the possibility of a certain striker nicknamed El Tigre –
“He wasn’t fit to play 90 mins but for 20, OK. I can use him because now he has trained for a week. He needs match rhythm.” Van Gaal said.
Now that he has a weeks training under his belt combined with twenty minutes playing time, the Columbian could well find himself in the starting line-up due to the fact that we only played on Saturday so Louis van Gaal may well choose to rest Robin van Persie.
