Victor Lindelof looks to be leaving Man United at the end of this season.
Manchester United’s Victor Lindelof has certainly faded into the background a little bit this term, due to the emergence of both Lisandro Martinez and Raphael Varane.
The Ice Man is a decent player within his own right, though he’s always struck me as someone who’d like to be playing regular football.
The latest report from Tuttosport (Tuesday print edition) seems to back that up. Thanks to Sport Witness for the translation. They go big in their story claiming that Lindelof has been ‘offered’ to Inter Milan, as belief grows that he will seal an Old Trafford exit.
The newspaper adds that the 28-year-old is ‘leaving Man United’ this summer after a frustrating season from an individual point of view.
Lindelof’s current contract expires in 2024, so United either have to cash in this summer, or risk losing him for free in twelve months’ time.
For someone in his peak years, Lindelof could be a bargain signing for Inter, or any other potential buyer.

United will hope to spark some sort of bidding war for the Ice Man’s signature – though it remains to be seen how many clubs are showing an interest in bringing him in.
There’s also the obvious point that Lindelof would have to be replaced with a new signing. No doubt Ten Hag has people in mind who could come in and do the job – though how much will these guys cost?
Sometimes, it’s safer to stick with what you have, though Lindelof isn’t going to settle for minutes off the bench. That much is obvious. You get the feeling United’s hand will be forced here.
