Victor Lindelof sends message to fans after first goal, shows perfect attitude

Last night, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s Manchester United dropped their first points since the Baby Faced Assassin took charge in mid-December, and it was always going to happen at some point, I suppose…

The game itself was a weird one. United dominated but couldn’t find the opening. All of the sudden, the Red Devils found themselves 2-0 down with a mountain to climb.

Paul Pogba scored from the spot in the 87th minute to make it 2-1, before Victor Lindelof scored his first United goal deep in injury time to draw the Red Devils level. Unfortunately, they couldn’t find the winner, but you have to be pleased with the fight-back.

In the aftermath of the game, the Ice Man took to social media to send a message to the fans, in which Lindelof admitted he was proud to score for the club. He also showed the perfect attitude to have, by admitting he was mad that his team couldn’t complete the comeback and win the game.

You just have to be impressed with Lindelof. It looked as though the Swede was struggling to adapt to Premier League football last term, but this season, he is playing like a man reborn.

I don’t think it’s a stretch to say that he’s our best centre-back this season. He has been defensively excellent while also having the ability to pick the right pass going forward. With the correct partner sat at centre-back next to him, this lad has a real bright future at the Theatre of Dreams…
