Victor Lindelof has stated that he wants to keep learning and improving under Erik ten Hag.

Manchester United Football Club are slowly improving under Erik ten Hag as a unit.

It’s going to take time for the gaffer to fully implement his tactics and ideas, though the squad deserve credit for fully buying in and changing their individual styles to fit the system.

One man who has seen action recently is Victor Lindelof. The Dutchman is a benefactor of the injuries to both Harry Maguire and Raphael Varane, starting in the last couple of matches as a result.

United have won both of those games. Though the Lindelof partnership with Lisandro Martinez looked wholly better in the second fixture against Everton. Purely because the pair are only just learning each other’s games at this early stage.

Anyway, the United star Lindelof was with the gaffer speaking to the media ahead of the Omonia match. He was quick to state that he believes the Ten Hag style ‘suits him’, while the Ice Man wants to ‘improve’ under the Dutchman’s tutelage.

Check out what the centre-back had to say on management here:

“The way the boss wants to play football suits me” Lindelof told the media, including the MEN.

“Hopefully, I can improve a lot under him.”

It’s early, but Lindelof absolutely looked far calmer and composed against Everton than I’ve seen him before. Maybe that’s because he didn’t have Maguire next to him? Maybe that’s because Martinez is just that good? Who knows.

Lindelof is someone who likes to play with the ball at feet, so naturally, he should be doing better in this system. We’re absolutely seeing the early stages of what could be another promising centre-back partnership.

As for Maguire, if he’s not careful, he could find himself fourth choice in the pecking order before long. That’s obviously not ideal for the club captain.
