Christian Eriksen scored a world-class goal vs Croatia in the UEFA Nations League last night.
Although Manchester United Football Club don’t play for a little over a week, several Red Devils are in action for their respective nations all over the globe.
While it’s somewhat worrying that these guys are playing twice a week without much on the line, it’s always nice to tune in to see how United players are getting on.
Last night, Christian Eriksen captained his country against Croatia in the Nations League. Sadly, Denmark would lose that game 2-1, though the midfield maestro certainly made his mark.
With just less than 15 minutes remaining, Eriksen levelled the game at 1-1 with an outrageous strike from distance, giving his side a chance at getting a positive result against top-quality opposition.

Honestly, this truly is a thing of beauty. You forget that Eriksen has the ability to score from distance, purely because he has been deployed somewhat deep for United, meaning he’s rarely in that position.
Again, it just speaks to the quality of the player with the ball at feet. What has impressed me most is Eriksen’s insane decision-making. The Dane always chooses the right option, be it a pass, shot or taking the ball forward himself.
Everyone assumed that Eriksen would improve this United side. However, I will say I didn’t expect to see the 30-year-old make this much of an impact. He has been absolutely sensational, looking like arguably our best player from game to game. Dare I say it? He’s an upgrade on Paul Pogba? At this point, I think it’s worth the discussion at the very least.
