Man United have released a short video of Erik ten Hag taking charge of his first training session.
Well, we’ve been waiting all day for some sort of official content during Erik ten Hag’s first day – and now we have it.
Manchester United’s new Dutch manager arrived bright and early at the AON Training Complex on Monday, as he geared up to put his new players through their paces for the first time.
This evening, the official club Twitter account tweeted a short video of the gaffer, all-smiles, taking charge of his first training session (see below).
With just two weeks to go until pre-season tour, Ten Hag has a fortnight to start whipping these lads into shape. No doubt the first few sessions will be a particularly gruelling experience as these lads look like a bunch of players who weren’t really pushed all that hard under the previous regimes.
From the outset, Ten Hag made his demands clear; give everything you have and display the right attitude. No doubt the ex-Ajax manager will be looking to figure out who are the workers and who are the shirkers before the lads jet off to Bangkok in the not too distant future.

Although this is a pretty short video, suddenly, it all feels very real.
Ten Hag is here. I am excited. That said, we all have to temper our expectations. Although this is someone who has massive potential to help turn our fortunes around, we have to be realistic.
Given the current state of the squad, Ten Hag is going to need time. Sadly, there’s no waving of a magic wand that’ll instantly fix all the issues. From players struggling for confidence, to footballers who simply don’t deserve to be here, this will take several transfer windows to sort out.
That said, it’s great to see the boss hard at work!
