Manchester United can certainly count themselves a little unfortunate, following not one, but two poor refereeing/VAR decisions.
On the day, Manchester United Football Club felt hard-done by following a poor VAR decision. After all, it was a pretty blatant penalty as Callum Hudson-Odoi handled in his own penalty box.
Since then, though, another incident has come to light. As Mason Mount and Fred became entangled in a fight for the ball, an apparent kick-out from the Chelsea man has come to light.
First and foremost, it’s worth pointing out that the movement made by Mount certainly isn’t natural, which seems to be the criteria referees and officials are using to make their calls at the moment… Anyway, see for yourself.

Honestly, this is just thuggery from Mount. He knows exactly what he’s doing. That much is blatantly obvious.
Sure, it’s easy to understand why the referee missed this in the heat of battle, though isn’t this what VAR is for? The officials should be pointing this out to the man in the middle, at the very least.
This is just a vicious kick out from Mount, and a completely unnecessary one at that. I mean, what’s he trying to achieve other than intentionally harming an opponent?
For me, we’re approaching retrospective action territory. At the very least, this should be a three-game ban for the Englishman, who has absolutely no real defence for this petty, borderline disgusting kick out.
Should Mount have been sent off for this kick out on Fred? Let us know your thoughts in the comment box below.
