Dylan Levitt continues to impress over in Scotland. He’d score another worldie last night.
Manchester United is so jam-packed with talent, that several fringe players simply had no choice but to leave the Red Devils on loan this season.
James Garner and Amad Diallo are probably the ‘bigger’ names that have departed on short-term deals, though there are others who deserve credit. Dylan Levitt, for example.
The midfielder, who has some first-team appearances under his belt (including a Europa League start), is plying his trade for Dundee United up in Scotland.
He’s scored some sublime goals for Dundee since making the move. In some important games, too. Well, last night, the young midfielder was back at it again.
The United loanee scored another brilliant long-range effort, this time against SPL champions Celtic, to steal a point for his side fairly late on. The Wales international continues to go under the radar but I have to admit, he’s been quietly impressive all year.
Check out the goal (via Sky Sports) here:
Levitt is a tone-setting midfielder. He keeps the game flowing with his quick, incisive passing, sort of playing that ‘quarterback’ role from a little deeper.
This year, Levitt has started to add goals into his already-impressive arsenal and it’s nice to see the 21-year-old always looking to develop and grow as a footballer.
There’s no doubt the regular minutes he has been given by Dundee United has helped him along the way and when he returns to Old Trafford this summer, he’ll be in a far better place than he was when he left.
Levitt is undoubtedly a player who Ten Hag could look at promoting to the first-team on a regular basis. I don’t doubt we’ll see him given an opportunity on pre-season tour, because we’re looking increasingly thin in the midfield area.
Keep it up, Dylan!
