United were unfortunately dumped out of the Champions League with the help of Turkish referee Cuneyt Cakir after he wrongly sent Nani off for a ‘dangerous tackle’. It all looked good for United up until the red card, and that decision completely changed the game on its head, allowing Madrid to overturn a 1-0 deficit.
Sergio Ramos put the ball into his own net early in the second half from some superb work by Nani, and then 10 minutes later the Portuguese man saw red, allowing Modric and Ronaldo to put the game to bed.
