United maintain a healthy six point gap at the top of the Premier League after beating a weak sunderland side 3-1. Robin van Persie opened the scoring, and further goals were added by Tom Cleverley and Wayne Rooney before ex-United youngster Fraizer Campbell pulled one back for the Black Cats.
It probably should’ve been more in truth, after Rooney and Evra both missed good chances to increase our goal difference. Vidic returned off the bench in the second half and although it will take him a while to get back up to speed, it was nice to see him back at the heart of our defence, the only downside to the game was the injury to Michael Carrick, lets hope it isn’t serious.
