What a way to wrap it up! Van Persie’s second goal was pure genius and will certainly be a contender for goal of the season. The Scholes-esque pass from Rooney was perfectly weighted and placed, and the technique in that finish from Van Persie was absolutely wonderful to watch.
You could tell how much Robin wanted it from minute one. He was hungry for that first league winners medal and now he has it. The golden boot and Player of the Year awards are now strong possibilities too.
