Manchester United’s Zlatan Ibrahimovic kicked off his career at his new club in stunning fashion. The 34-year-old striker managed to find the back of the net on debut, with a goal from way outside the penalty area to help United to all three points.
It was never going to be an easy game for the Swede. The Premier League is the most physically demanding in the world, and many thought it would take time for him to adapt.
However, midway through the second half, Ibrahimovic went a long way into silencing plenty of his critics by scoring that aforementioned goal.
That sent the travelling away support into pure joyful chaos, and their rendition of Ibrahimovic’s new chant continued. What a great away following we have, and they’ve really come up with a gem of a football song here – even if they only get to sing it for a couple of Premier League seasons.
