VIDEOS: David de Gea’s incredible match-winning save vs Stoke City

Manchester United managed a 2-1 win at home to Stoke City tonight, with Marouane Fellaini and Juan Mata getting the goals that strengthens United’s grip on a top four spot. However, many of the plaudits will go to David de Gea, who was yet again outstanding – particularly in the dying embers of the game as he made a last-minute save that saved all three points.

Credit must also go to Ashley Young, who blocked a shot on the line late on, which could well be the difference between a spot in Europe come the end of the season.

You just feel that if this was last season, that would’ve resulted in a goal and we’d be gutted after squandering more points at home. Under Louis van Gaal, things seemed to have changed and we’re suddenly playing well again.
