Vidic Injury Not As Bad As First Feared

There was no pre-match press conference from the boss today, but instead he conducted an exclusive interview with MUTV to bring us the team news ahead of the FA Cup replay against West Ham tomorrow night, and on the whole the injury news is fairly positive, especially regarding Vidic’s knee.

Sir Also also added that Nani and Rooney will both feature against West Ham as they both need the game time, and Jonny Evans is fine after overcoming a hamstring injury, but will probably be saved for the Spurs game on Sunday.

The boss confirmed: “Actually, Vida’s knee is okay,” He continued. “He had a little bit of concussion but he’s okay and fine. He trained yesterday and was good.

He also mentioned the injury to Ashley Young’s knee, who left Old Trafford on crutches after the game on Sunday, he confirmed that Ashley will probably miss our next two games but should be back fit for our FA Cup fourth round tie against either Blackpool or Fulham, if we overcome West Ham of course.

“There are no other serious knocks really. I think they’re all pretty good. Obviously, Young has got a dull knock, a little bit of a strain on the knee, but it’s nothing serious. I think he’ll be back next week. Maybe not for Tottenham but, the week after, he should be okay.”

Sir Alex seemed very upbeat in his interview, and the team seems relatively injury free at the moment, long may it continue!
