Man United midfielder Dylan Levitt scored a cracking goal for Dundee United last night.
The first-team squad at Old Trafford has grown so big that several players, both from the youth setup and main dressing room, have had to leave on loan.
Anthony Martial, Amad, Donny van de Beek all departed in January. Back in the summer, plenty more faces left on season-long loan deals – including young midfielder, Dylan Levitt.
It wasn’t too long ago when Levitt was handed a start for the United first-team in the Europa League. The Wales international greatly impressed on that day, but he hasn’t been able to force his way into the squad on a regular basis. Hence, the decision would be made for Levitt to spend the season in the SPL with Dundee United.
By all accounts, Levitt is doing pretty well. However last night, the United loanee scored a cracker from distance as his side beat Motherwell 2-0. You can view his all-important breakthrough goal at about the 1:35 mark on the video below.

Levitt’s style is an interesting one. He likes to keep the flow of the game going by making quick, incisive passes forward, in a sort of metronomic fashion.
He won’t often try the Hollywood pass like Bruno Fernandes, rather he’s more like Fred in terms of how Levitt plays the game.
We now know that Levitt does have the capability to shoot (and score!) from distance. And having that trait in your locker is definitely a huge positive.
The question remains, will Levitt have what it takes to make it at Man United? Well, there could be an opening there should Paul Pogba leave this summer. However, I’m still not sure Levitt is quite ready to be starting games at the elite level with regularity.
As a squad or a fringe player, I could see the Wales international fitting in nicely, though!
