It looks as though Ander Herrera’s time at Manchester United is coming to an end. The Basque midfielder is seemingly intent on leaving Old Trafford, with Paris Saint-Germain likely to be his next destination.
Today, journalist Simon Peach has given us a further update as to why Herrera chose to leave United. Apparently, a large factor in it was due to a lack of communication from the club, who hadn’t made contact with the midfielder for around three months.
It came at a time where other offers for Herrera had been tabled, which obviously meant his head has been turned. At the end of the day, there is no excuses for United. They made the decision to keep the player in the dark and it’s fair enough if he wants to leave.
He has every right and it’s United’s fault for letting his contract run down. Herrera is by no means irreplaceable but losing him for nothing does hurt.
With that said, it’s good to see United finally showing some backbone. For so long they’ve been held to ransom by players and eventually caved in. It’s the dawning of a new era with Solskjaer at the wheel and this club is clearly trying their best to do everything they can to return to former glories.
