Why Manchester United fans should be optimistic about next season

Manchester United are second only to Bayern Munich in the number of players they have representing their side at the World Cup this year, and although some, including the English and Spanish contingent, have disappointed. Some others, such as Louis van Gaal’s Holland, have flourished.

Manchester United fans should be excited about next season under Louis van Gaal, and Robin van Persie is the prime example of that. When playing for a manager he likes to work under, he thrives. Look at his first season under Sir Alex, and look how much he puts into his game under the aforementioned Van Gaal.

With Van Persie sitting on three goals, he’s still in with a shout to take the golden boot award, check out the odds of that, and the best of this weeks football bets before Germany and France take on African sides Nigeria and Algeria respectively.

Its expected that Louis van Gaal will go back in for some Dutch youngsters and stick with what he knows. At the heart of the gossip is young centre-back Stefan de Vrij, along with Memphis Depay, Daley Blind and many others.

We’ve had a taste first hand just how good Louis van Gaal is as a manager.  He managed to lead his side to a swashbuckling victory against Spain, he won it the scruffy way in a 3-2 victory against Australia, changed an entire team and beat Chile 2-0 and won it in the last minute against Mexico. This shows his versatility as a coach, and just how well he can adapt to different situations.

All-in-all, us Manchester United fans are certainly in for a treat next season, and I for one cannot wait until the madness that is the Barclays Premier League starts all over again in August.
