Manchester United are set to offload Wilfried Zaha in the summer, and are prepared to cut their losses on the 21-year old winger who has failed to make an impression at Old Trafford this season. Zaha made just four substitute appearances for United before being sent on loan to Cardiff.
The England international turned out to be Sir Alex Ferguson’s last signing as Manchester United manager, and on the pre-season tour last summer it looked as though it was going to be an inspired one.
However David Moyes has been proven right to leave him out. Zaha struggled whilst playing for United’s U21s, and despite bagging two assists on his Cardiff debut he has done little else to impress Ole Gunnar Solskjaer. He has now been dropped from Cardiff’s starting line-up.
The Daily Mail claim United are willing to cash in on Wilf while he still has some market value. Having paid over £10million for him back in January 2013, we’ll be lucky if we can recoup half of that back as a transfer fee. The interested parties are believed to be his old club Crystal Palace, as well as his current loanee side Cardiff City.
