Willy Kambwala is generating heavy interest for a loan move over the second half of the season, with Man United’s stance on the player now confirmed.

Manchester United Football Club are trimming down their squad significantly during this January transfer window, with Erik ten Hag’s side having significantly fewer games to play due to their European exit.

As a result, we’re seeing a mini exodus. The Old Trafford side have allowed Donny van de Beek, Jadon Sancho, Alvaro Fernandez, and others, to leave this month.

However, one man who looks to be staying put is Willy Kambwala. According to UtdDistrict, it’s stated that the United talent is attracting ‘significant’ loan interest following his first-team breakthrough.

On top of that, the Reds’ stance has been confirmed, as they have no plans to send Kambwala out this month. Presumably, the club believe the defender is ready to at least hang around on the fringes of the first-team.

United’s Kambwala plans could change, with likely factors said to be down to the fitness levels of those defenders who are currently returning from injury.

The Reds signed Kambwala for £3.5m as a sixteen-year-old, with the defender not looking out of place during his only senior start for the team against West Ham United.

No doubt this young man has an extremely bright future within the game, while staying at the club and training with the likes of Raphael Varane and Lisandro Martinez is never a bad thing.

We’ll also see Kambwala feature heavily on this summer’s pre-season tour, as the club continue to ramp up his minutes as he continues to gain individual experience.
