Man United defender, Willy Kambwala, has rejected a contract offer from the Red Devils, amid interest from elsewhere.

Manchester United Football Club are looking to overhaul their squad this summer, particularly defensively.

The Old Trafford side have lost Raphael Varane, while the futures of Jonny Evans, Victor Lindelof and even Harry Maguire remain up in the air.

Erik ten Hag’s men have been linked with several names in that position, with the likes of Jarrad Branthwaite and Matthijs de Ligt leading the way.

However, the Reds could already have a top tier replacement on their books; Willy Kambwala.

The defender started against West Ham last season, making his debut in tough circumstances, but coming through that test with flying colours. There’s a talented centre-half in there for sure.

However, his future at the club is far from certain…

Check out Christopher Michel’s X post on the news here:

Journalist Christopher Michel believes that the United starlet has rejected a contract offer from the club. His current deal expires in 2025, so the Reds do have another year to sort out Kambwala’s future.

The centre-back is attracting heavy interest from the MLS, Ligue 1, Bundesliga and even Spain. Understandably, Kambwala would prefer a move to Spain at this time.

It would be a devastating blow to lose Kambwala. He’s an insanely talented young man who genuinely has the potential to start games at the highest level on a regular basis.

I truly hope this is just his agent making a play for a better contract here at his boyhood club, but let’s wait and see how this will play out…
