Manchester United Football Club looked as though they came mightily close to pulling the trigger on Louis van Gaal just before the new year, but it looks as though the Dutchman has bought himself some more time. However, if there comes a time when he has to be sacked, Jose Mourinho certainly seems keen.
According to El Pais journalist Diego Torres Romano, Jose Mourinho is hoping Manchester United will approach him over the summer.
Romano goes on to say that the self proclaimed ‘Special One’ has already turned down an offer from Real Madrid, as he awaits a call from the Manchester United hierarchy as he desperately wants the Old Trafford job.
At the end of the day, Jose Mourinho is a proven world class manager, but until the day comes where Manchester United deem Louis van Gaal not good enough, Mourinho will have to sit tight.
