Just before 2016 began, Manchester United fans were completely on the back of Louis van Gaal due to a series of terrible results and absolutely woeful performances. Things have certainly picked up a lot recently, but the mind of the board could have already been made up.
The usually reliable Gianluca Di Marzio has had his say on the Manchester United managerial situation, and he says that Louis van Gaal will be out in the summer, and that Jose Mourinho has a ‘gentleman’s agreement’ in place to replace him as Manchester United manager.
Furthermore, the Italian journalist went on to write that the self proclaimed ‘Special One’ has been attending football matches all over the globe trying to identify potential transfer targets for the Old Trafford club when he takes over.
At the end of the day you would understand it if the board decided to pull the plug on Louis van Gaal, but recent results, performances and the willingness to play youth certainly must be taken into consideration before any final decision is made.
