World class manager would have ‘100% joined Man Utd’ if he knew of interest sooner

Manchester United fans all over the world were left distraught a few years ago, when Sir Alex Ferguson announced his retirement. The great Scot took it upon himself to help the club find his successor, and one man they were interested in was Carlo Ancelotti.

“I had already spoken to Real Madrid. For the experience, a manager has to go to Madrid. If it hadn’t been for that, I would have come, 100 per cent.” Ancelotti is quoted as saying.

Carlo Ancelotti would have been perfect for Manchester United this summer under the current circumstances, and he’s a coach that always does well when the pressure is on him.

Back in 2013, Manchester United had to settle for David Moyes instead of Ancelotti, which afterwards didn’t look like the best piece of business.

Turning attentions back to this coming summer transfer window, change has to be made. Louis van Gaal isn’t doing anywhere near good enough this season and the anger amongst the fans is certainly starting to grow. Although Ancelotti and Pep Guardiola are already tied up, Jose Mourinho is still available…
