Manchester United Football Club had a fantastic debut season under Jose Mourinho. The Red Devis finished with two trophies and secured Champions League football for next season which is a huge boost when it comes to acquiring players.
With new players coming in, some guys will inevitably have to leave and be headhunted by our opponents. One man who has been targeted for a move away is Ander Herrera, with interest coming from FC Barcelona.
Now, ESPN’s sources say that the Basque-born central midfielder is set to snub the Catalan giants, and reject a reunion with his former boss Ernesto Valverde.
Furthermore than that, the report claims that Herrera, who’s deal expires in 2018, is expected to put pen to paper on a new contract before next season starts which is brilliant news.
This is a genuinely world class central midfielder we have on our hands, and it’s wonderful to see the way he plays with such passion for the Manchester United badge. Jose Mourinho has turned to him on more than one vital occasion because he knows that he can be relied upon on both sides of the ball.
It says a lot about his love for the club that he is willing to reject probably the best club side in football in order to stay at the Theatre of Dreams, and these are exactly the kind of footballers that we want at our wonderful club.
