Manchester United return to our TV screens this weekend after the fortnight of international football, and one player who could also be returning to the fold is David de Gea after the collapse of his proposed move to Real Madrid.
According to the usually reliable Independent newspaper, David de Gea and Louis van Gaal have held talks, and the Spaniard is all set for a starting spot in-between the sticks against Liverpool this weekend.
What a huge boost this would be. David de Gea is easily the best keeper in the Premier League and to have him back will be massive for not only the fans but the players too.
Although Romero did a solid job in the absence of our Spaniard, you feel that the back line will be much more comfortable with the 25-year old De Gea in between the sticks.
His return couldn’t be more timely either with United’s biggest game of the season so far coming on Saturday, with Brendan Rodgers bringing his Liverpool side to town.
