Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho could be feeling the pressure right about now – particularly after a poor run of results coupled with a huge fallout with superstar midfielder, Paul Pogba.
During the self-proclaimed Special One’s poor spell, Frenchman Zinedine Zidane has been installed as the favourite to become United’s new manager should Mourinho leave. That does make sense, he’s available to take charge whenever – which is often a rare commodity so early on in the season.
Now we may well have been given the clearest indication yet that Zidane wants to try his hand at managing in the Premier League. According to The Sun, per the Daily Mirror, the ex-Real Madrid boss is currently learning English – and he would have also practiced the language during his recent trip to London…
Obviously, knowing the local lingo makes things much easier. Being able to communicate with your squad is vital, and although there are translators and other means to get the message across, having a good understanding of the language is massively important.
Zidane, who spent the majority of his career in Spain, while also managing there, is seemingly after a new challenge following winning three Champions League titles in a row. Is he the right man to take over at Old Trafford? I’m not so sure. It’s a completely different kettle of fish, although he has proven to have a winning pedigree in his short-stint in management.
