Zlatan Ibrahimovic expresses his Manchester United disappointment so far

Manchester United made an extremely bold move over the summer, by bringing in Zlatan Ibrahimovic on a free transfer. The 35-year-old started life under Jose Mourinho excellently, but then he hit a slightly barren spell which raised a few concerns.

Now the Swede has spoken out about his disappointment at that poor patch, but reiterated he is happy, and he knows the team can do more.

“I think I could have scored a couple more goals than I have done,” he said.

“I missed pretty good chances which I didn’t see myself doing. But it’s a different game here.”

“With my performance, I am happy. I know I can do more, I know the team can do more and I want to do more and I will do more.”

At the end of the day, Zlatan Ibrahimovic is truly world class and up there with the very best. The only way he got that high up in the pecking order is by hard work, desire and drive. Although he’s made a brilliant start to life at Manchester United, his attitude towards that minor bad spell he has is exemplary.

Now he looks back to normal following that brace away at Swansea City, and going forward, he has to use that hunger to keep scoring and start moving Manchester United up towards the top of the table.
