Zlatan Ibrahimovic reveals why he’s super happy after Man United’s cup win

Manchester United Football Club secured their first major trophy under Jose Mourinho’s watchful eye at the weekend, as the Red devils beat Southampton by 3-2. The man of the moment was none other than Zlatan Ibrahimovic, who scored two goals – including a late winner.

The 35-year-old came in from PSG on a free transfer over the summer, and quite frankly, he has worked absolute wonders since his arrival. His brace at the weekend made it twenty-six goals on the season which is a hugely impressive tally, considering we’re only in February.

Now Ibrahimovic has been speaking to the media about his thoughts following the victory, and it sounds like he’s very happy at the Theatre of Dreams right now. He says that he feels good, and he’s super happy to win his second trophy as a Red.

“It feels good and I feel good.” Zlatan is quoted as saying by Manchester United’s official website. “Winning trophies is always amazing but especially when you play at Wembley. A great atmosphere, 85,000 people… it’s not every week you play a final and you win it. This is the second time we are here, and the second trophy I have won here with this club, so I am super happy.”

What a player. What a man. He’s always been a guy who produces when it matters most, and this weekend was no different. His first goal was a sublime free-kick and the second a powerful header. When that ball was played into him by Ander Herrera, you just knew there would only be one outcome.

I guess the only shame is that he’s approaching the latter stages of his career, and it’s unfortunate we haven’t been watching him perform in our famous jersey for the last decade.
