Manchester United Football Club are believed to be on the verge of securing the signature of Zlatan Ibrahimovic, with several reputable sources saying a deal would have been done before the European Championships. However, that didn’t happen due to a clause in his PSG contract in which he’ll receive £1million at the end of the month.
Now, his move looks to have been delayed, but that hasn’t stopped the 34-year-old from speaking out about the move to the media – and its good news. He has confirmed that he will reveal his next team ‘soon’, and hopefully it’s Manchester United.
“What the future will be, you will know soon. But I enjoy football. Wherever I go I will be the same person and I will enjoy.”
This transfer rumour has to be one of the most exciting in recent years at Manchester United. It has been a while since we’ve brought in a marquee player at the absolute top of his game, and Ibrahimovic had his best season ever last year.
He could be that influential figurehead that Manchester United have been lacking over the last twelve months, and it would be a real honour to see him don our colours.
